Witham

David Witham studied piano with Jaki Byard at the New England Conservatory of Music and with Alan Broadbent in Los Angeles. He was Musical Director for NEA Jazz Master George Benson from 1990-2007, and has served as a producer for Tom Scott and Grover Washington. Broadway show credits include Wicked Los Angeles (Associate Music Director), The Lion King Los Angeles (Assistant Conductor), and These Paper Bullets (Associate Music Supervisor). Recording and performance credits include Barbra Streisand, Patti Austin, Betty Buckley, Keely Smith, Joe Sample, Wayne Brady, Chaka Khan, Chick Corea, Jose Feliciano, Nels Cline, Randy and Michael Brecker. Since 1999, David has turned some of his creative energies towards the visual, and created, produced and hosted Portable Universe, an award-winning cable access television show in Long Beach centered around music and performers that has featured artists from around the world.
